Many of our customers ask “What size breaker should I have in my electrical box to accommodate the Clinebell equipment I’ve purchased?” You must consult an electrician for local code requirements when considering capacity.

The following breaker sizes are general examples only.

  • 1/2 HP Single Phase Cond. Unit – 115 volts – 13.7 amps under full load – 20 amp breaker
  • 1/2 HP Single Phase Cond. Unit – 220 volts – 7.8 amps under full load – 20 amp breaker
  • 3/4 HP Single Phase Cond. Unit – 220 volts – 13 amps under full load – 20 amp breaker
  • 1 HP Single Phase Cond. Unit – 220 volts – 12.5 amps under full load – 20 amp breaker
  • 1-1/2 HP Single Phase Cond. Unit – 220 volts – 16 amps under full load – 30 amp breaker
  • 1-1/2 HP 3 Phase Cond. Unit – 220 volts – 12.5 amps under full load – 20 amp breaker
  • 2 HP Single Phase Cond. Unit – 220 volts – 12 amps under full load – 20 amp breaker
  • 2 HP 3 Phase Cond. Unit – 220 volts – 7 amps under full load – 20 amp breaker
  • 3 HP Single Phase Cond. Unit – 220 volts – 18 amps under full load – 30 amp breaker
  • 3 HP 3 Phase Cond. Unit – 220 volts – 10 amps under full load – 20 amp breaker
  • 4 HP Single Phase Cond. Unit – 220 volts –
