In any business, it’s important to understand all the costs of doing business.  Following is the formula and an example for figuring the cost of electricity needed to operate your Clinebell ice making equipment.  Refer to the Electric Breaker document to find the amps that your condensing unit pulls under full load, based on the HP and voltage of your equipment.

Formula

• Amps x Volts = kilowatts per hour (kwh)
• kwh x cents/kwh = cents per hour

Example

• 10 x 220 = 2,200 = 2.2 kwh
• 2.2 x .09** = 1.9 cents per hour
